Mytrle Beach

Well I have made it to Mytrle Beach, South Carolina. Hanging out with friends and of course getting my drink on. I needed this much needed vacation from the everyday drama. The beach is soooo beautiful. Wish you all could be here.

Wow where has the time gone?

It is hard to believe that this year is almost over. So much has happened this year. I got engaged towards the end of last year only to have it end this year. In way it is a good thing because he was cheating on me. I left Lowe's after four years. I worked as a traveling salesperson for a soap company. I got to share that experience with my brother, Scotty. It was totally awesome. I got to meet new people and got to go places that i hadnt been before. I actually loved the traveling. I felt like a gypsy. I want to go back to doing that real soon. I miss the friends that I have made when i was with the company. They became family.

Finally Spring has Sprung

It is hard to believe that after a very long cold winter, spring is here. I have spent the last two weeks sick with sinus issues thanks to the Dogwoods that are native here to North Carolina. It is very lovely here in the Spring as well as it is in the fall.

I got to go there earlier this past Friday. I got to see so much stuff, but what really got me was when I got to see the Dale Earnhardt, Junior Johnson, and Richard Petty cars. I know that they go around and around in a circle for about 4 hours but you know what? It is fun. It is no worse then a group of grown men running up and down the football field chasing after a ball covered in pig skin. Heck I love football too. I yell at them through the tv screen every Sunday. LOL

Moved to North Carolina

I have moved from Texas to North Carolina to get away from some very bad memories that I am not going to go into detail. I am now where I am loved and appreicated for what I do and not taken advantage of like I have been in the past. I have missed my friends and family due to this person but now I am here and going to be on more often that I have in the past. Love you all and miss you. Hugs, Theresa aka Lady Irish Falls

Working on my last nerve!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here we go again. I know that I should log in more often and post, but it has been a very busy five or six months since I last posted. I have had my knee surgery back in January. I had to go through 3 months worth of physical therapy to get to a point that I could return to work. I finally get to go back to work in April only to be told that I will not be going back to the Paint Department because we are short-handed on the amount of cashiers. Well instead of hiring new cashiers, I am stuck on a register because it was what i was doing when I first joined the company 3 1/2 years prior. Don't get me wrong, it has made the transition of not doing anything all day to actually being able to work so much better, but I have my limits. I feel like I am in a prison cell without walls, but heaven help me if I cross over that invisible line. It is like a dog getting shocked with a shock collar for going out of its yard. And to make matters worse, a head cashier position came up and no one was notified. I came into work on Monday to find out that a cashier who has not been with the company as long as myself, gets hired as a head cashier. OK i can understand if you don't give it to me but there was one other cashier that was more qualified to do the job and she did not even get asked. That is pure B.S. This place is wearing me very very thin. And when i go on my vacation, and i like were i am going, i may not come back for the simple fact it is that store. The company is a great company to work for. It is the upper management of that store that blows.
Ok I think i have that off my chest now. thank you for listening to my little rant!

What else could go wrong!

As I have mentioned before, I have had a very busy month for October. Both weddings were beautiful. The only thing that has gone wrong is the fact that on Monday,October 28,2008, I blew out my left knee at work. I have gone to the doctor and I can not see the Orthopedic surgeon until next Wednesday. Meanwhile I am in tons of pain, even though the doctor did give me pain killers. My leg is swelling along with the knee. Yes I have been working except for today on it, but the doctor has me on light duty. Heck, my job does not know the meaning of light duty. I have been back and forth in the paint department because i have a new department manager that does not know much about paint. I have two associates that don't want to work. And I got past over for the department manager's position yet again because he knows more about flooring. Whip-the-f'ing-do!!!!!!! I have to run paint and home decor as well as flooring when there is noone there. And they wonder why I blew out my damn knee!!!!! grrrrrr I am sorry ya'll. That place is enough to drive anyone insane including the insane people!
Well, I am off to take another pain pill. Hopefully I will not trip over the dang cat again like i did this morning. Love ya all!
